    • Keep house tidy and neat and take out knick-knacks off counters
    • Replace if possible worn-out carpet and drapes and anything that looks old
    • Keep house smelling good and fresh
  5. DO share with your Realtor special features about your home and neighborhood and what makes it different from others.
  6. DO state special terms and conditions you want relating to the sale of your property and any concerns about your home and the neighborhood.
  7. DO look over your house carefully and fix defects, if necessary. Better get it done now than compromise a sale because of defects found during the inspection period.
  8. DO insist that buyers do a home inspection. It signifies your confidence that your house is in good condition.
  9. DO make an honest disclosure of everything you know about the house.
  10. DO clear liens other than mortgage pay-off on the property, as soon as possible if applicable.
  11. DO consider contracts of offer as a whole and not only on the price.
